I was just wondering if Unity will support WebOS aswell in the future. I know it’s a small niche market but as it proggresses it might grow out bigger.
thoughts?

Looks like soon it might be not such a small market anymore.
Chicks and eggs here, but it would be foolish of Unity to get too excited about WebOS before the market is there. The problem for HP is that people won’t buy WebOS devices without WebOS apps.
I’d rather see linux support
Will WebOS ever support native players and solid enough hardware and have at least a reasonable base install base. I would assume thats the main requirement.
Problem is that WebOS doesn’t exist really outside of the USA as it seems to me.
Here in switzerland there is not a single device you can buy officially and the providers don’t have any in their sortiments for contract bling bling either. As such its kind of as dead and inexistant as the Zune line, which means that its install base is surely minimal if at all compared to android and iOS, yet the effort to port anything there is massive.
Would be as if french unity users would annoy UT to add Bada support just cause it has some local strength there
If you want to go to these platforms, then its likely through Union, I doubt you will ever see a 1 time fee platform support for them, Union is exactly for this kind of situation basically.
