Windows 10 crash

Hello, I just installed the unity editor on a new laptop running windows 10 x64. The editor opens fine, but when I manipulate the window in any way (re-sizing, maximizing, changing layouts) the editor instantly freezes and becomes unresponsive. I’m able to move the window around and use the editor normally without any crash.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Anyone else manage to get it running on windows 10? I’ve tried compatibility mode for Windows 7, 8 and I’ve tried reinstalling it and still getting the same issue. Is this because it’s not officially supported?

I couldn’t do a screen shot so I had to take a picture, but this is what I see when I maximize the window.

The top bar maximizes but the content window fills the sides with black and it becomes unresponsive. I have to then close it by ending the process in task manager. The crash also happens if I manually re-size the window or change the layout. I’m not sure what else to try.

I’m using Unity on Windows 10 but I wish I wasn’t.
It’s about a 50/50 chance of crashing when I hit the play button.

Way! For those who are interested I managed to fix the issue! I found this thread: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/unity-editor-has-stopped-working-on-windows-10.344465/ after a bit of searching and it turns out the software Nahimic, which is audio enhancement software which comes preloaded on MSI laptops - was conflicting with Unity. Sorted!

I couldn’t even open up build settings without freezing so I don’t think I had the same issue as I did, maybe it could be conflicting software similar to me?
