Forgive me if this was already posted, been a bit behind since being at GDC

If you participated in the Windows Store apps beta and noticed the flood of e-mails, we apologise for that. Remember this is run via a google group, you can go to groups.google.com to change your e-mail preferences but it is essentially an e-mail list. Please keep all your beta testing info within the group so our devs can keep track :slight_smile:

If you have any issues with signing up, confused about the whole groups thing or just general questions, you can post them here. If I completely missed a thread about this already, post the link here too.

My big question: is Windows Phone 8 license going to be separate from Windows 8 Desktop/Tablet Store license?

Unity 4 is required, I believe we will do it the same as the Windows Store apps beta, where you will be provided a version of Unity 4 for the duration of the beta.

I’m afraid we have no idea how licensing will work yet.

I’ve got a question about windows store beta. Is that one really for only people with Pro licence or is it also public like win 8 phone beta?

As I said above, you will be provided a license for the duration of the beta, that’s a Pro license by the way.

I would love to participate in windows store beta, however I don’t have a pro licence. So I’d like clarification on how things really are.

No you don’t need a pro license to apply. You get a 2 month pro trial license to test it with.

Is the application process supposed to take a long time? win 8 phone beta application took only a day, but it has been about a week since I applied to the windows store beta, but there is no answer yet. I would like to participate in a contest, but it doesn’t have too much time remaining anymore.

How do I receive mine, I’ve sign up and got accepted.

The email you received which says you have been accepted has a link to the beta site, the license code is on that page near the bottom, the email also tells you where on the site to download the beta build and addon.

PM me the e-mail address you signed up with and I will check the beta admins.

Sorry for flooding this topic with my own problem, but you seem to reply really fast when I post here, but not when I send a pm, thus I’m asking here:
I am in windows phone beta, but I still can’t access the windows store beta.
