I’m proud to announce that An Alien with a Magnet is now available world wide on Windows Phone 8!
Its free for the first 15 levels, by then you should be hooked. You need atleast 5 hours to complete all the 48 levels at a 100%!
The game was originally launched at iOS, porting it over took about a week, where most time was spend on wp8 specific features and optimising ngui.
Also, as its made with Unity after all, it might be interesting to sum up what I’ve been using to create this:
•NGUI for the menu’s, level select and hud. The performance it letting me down when you start to animate or have a lot of objects (like in the level select) I wouldn’t recommand it if you have a huge amount of sprites.
•My own sprite engine, others just didn’t do what I wanted
•Advanced PlayerPrefs Editor to easily reset/lock/unlock levels/achievements etc while I’m playing
•Trailrenderer, misses some must have functionality though like resetting its trail, or make it stop tracking
•I made a lot of small editor stuff just to make our life easier when creating levels
