Windows XP's game running problem, ram, garbage collector

So I am very embarrassed for Windows XP.

I made standalone game for windows X86.

When I run it on Windows 7, it start with taking 900mb memory, and increase as time goes, but when ram took almost full, garbage collector seems work and it reduces game’s ram. And game run continuously.

But when I run it on Windows XP, it start with taking 1.5gb memory, and increases, when it take 1.8gb, game crashes, garbage colllector seems does not work.

What is problem?

Thanks.

This game is for the most part unplayable on 32-bit Windows at all.

They aren’t likely to fix that anytime soon, as from my perspective, the game keeps getting larger and larger.

32-bit operating systems just don’t have the addressable memory to play the game anymore.

At this point, you really need 4gb of ram AND a 64-bit OS minimum for the game to run properly.

Windows XP is rather old now/historic , people need to let go
I would concentrate on Windows 7 and higher…
