[WIP] A Tale of Magic

Hey guys so this is a game I have been working on. Its a top down rpg similar to magicka or diablo. It uses a control scheme very similar to magicka but has its own resource system where certain spells use certain elemental charge. It’s not shown very well in the video here but the player will eventually have a large number of spells which they can customise to their own playing style. They will also have to manage their elemental charge pool so this prevents them just spamming attacks. Not to mention certain enemies will respond better to certain magics as well as certain situations calling for certain magics. Anyway here is the first dev log. Still very early development and there is a lot of tweaks / bugs to iron out yet.

Oh also each character has it’s own base spell which costs no elemental charge. In the case of this video it is the fire bullets.

Looking good, and polished for an early stage.

The art looks really great and professional. For an early stage it’s very impressive. One thing I would like to see is some vegetation animations, like tree animations and grass animations. This will make the game world feel more alive and dynamic.
