[WIP][Beta] ShadowTransform - small tool to hold a previous object positions

When you make a game, it’s always necessary to make some tweaks on your levels. Let’s move that rock 3 units left and watch how gameplay has changed.
Later, after a week of tests, you’ve decided that it’s too bad.
So, let’s return it back to a previous position.

…does anybody remember where exactly that rock was?

ShadowTransform is a tool to make process of creation and tweaking your levels more comfortable. It will remember previous positions for any of your objects and let you switch between them in one click.

Also, that’s a great tool for gameplay testing, temporary level re-planning or a massive A/B testing.

It remembers old previous positions for any of your object and switch between them in one click.

Just move your object without fear of loosing your previous states.

Now ShadowTransform will take care of this!

ShadowTransform have built-in help system to have a quickstart

Move, rotate and scale your scenery, monsters, player.
Make a play-testing of different game situations.
ShadowTransform will help you.

ShadowTransform is FREE.

Hello guys!
I’ve made a small video about my asset.
It explains what’s it, why do you need it, and how to use it - and all under 3 minutes.
Go check this out!

Wow. That’s exactly what I needed.
I’m sure it will come in handy.

P.S. Your demo scene looks not like your screenshots. It’s a bit too foggy.

Thanks for testing, MadDocPro!
What do you mean by “not like your screenshots”?
Can you post your screenshots to compare?

Looks like you’re using an old fog shader - I’ve got lots of your files converted:

Hmm, yes, I saw that problem when I’ve changed my Unity’s version to 5.6. But I thought I posted a fixed version here.
Ok, I’ll release a next beta soon with this part fixed for good. Thanks for testing!

It was tough, but now fresh BETA 2 is ready for you

Major changes:

  • Now you can add and remove states even in runtime (during play)! All changes would remain when you return to editor. Next version - a pre-release one - would contain something to flexible configure this behaviour. Thanks Lawsonilka (from Unity.ru community) for this fantastic idea!

  • Objects without meshes would have a placeholder for shadows. Also, instead of stupid console warnings, now you will see an informative message in component’s editor. Thanks Samana (from Unity.ru community) for this ideas!

  • Annoying tutorial window now might be disabled! I’ve fixed something there, and now you a checkbox “Do not show anymore” works properly… I hope so.

  • Standard Assets are updated. No more dense fog and other graphical artefacts on some versions of Unity.

You may get a new beta here:

Hey Wolf - cool pack.
Can you explain why you choose the name shadow transform?
After watching the marketing material and reading - the product if obvious, however just seeing the name - it probably makes asset store browsers think this is a tool exclusively for shadow manipulation.
The name might be limiting the number of purchases.

After a long, long, long time, we finally came to release.
Now full version of ShadowTransform is avalible on Asset Store.
It’s still free
