We are the guys of Barspin Studios, an indie team from Barcelona - sorry for our english. We have been here as lookers for a long time. Now we want to show you our game: BMX The Game.
We have been working on it since 2012 with different intensities. We opened a Kickstarter on 2013 but it just amounted 49000$ that it was insufficient, but we get a good presence in social media. We kept working on it and we announced it 2 months ago. It was a total success. We get 1,000 pre-orders in less than 48 hours.
Now we’re working to release the playable sneak peek this month. Meanwhile we have released a sample of the bike editor and we have opened more pre-orders.

Tech facts:

We have created a whole new system for the bike’s physics. It’s not based on wheelcolliders, and we use a complex stabilizator script which tries to simulate angular momentum. We’re pretty happy with the realistic bike’s behaviour.

Physics driven animations. The animations affects to the masses of the bike-rider system.

Hundreds of animations done by us and driven by Mecanim Humanoid.

User access system linked to wordpress. Bug report system ingame.

Gestures recognizer for the gamepad’s sticks. See related video.

Oculus Rift support.

We used some amazing Assets: FinalIK, InControl, SE Natural Bloom, Wordpress User Login, Mega Grab, Building BuildR, Mixamo Fuse and more.

Multicamera system and replay editor. It allows 1st person, 3rd person and a simulation of another biker following us and recording with a cam on the hand -like are the BMX videos done. GoPro simulation.

Multiplayer on split screen and lan.

Mobile version - on early stage.
