Sounds awesome eskimojoe! I was wondering why you were so active on posts regarding scams :P. Can’t wait to see more!

You’ll have to be careful though, since most of these things would be pretty easy to bypass. I have thought of a similar idea before, but decided to trust my team and only hire freelancers I can trust (which we actually never do, we have done it once, and we knew the person in real life).

However, it seems like a good idea, will it be a paid service? Or how will you make money off of it?

You can audit your time or the time of your remote developer.
It’s an escrow service, so you put money upfront. The developer or modeller gets paid upon full delivery, or per-timed assignments.

We already sell time-clock windows client server for in-house employees, time-billing for end-users.
This is a natural progression of the billing systems we sell.

We are using our own time tracking system internally here…

Morale has increased 10 fold for our remote contractors. They get paid for works, they can see their own hours logged automatically.

We’ve seen bright spots such as:

  • a Korean developer who is in the Guild Wars credits list, he now works for us.

  • several artists who is on the Sims 2 credit list now works for us

  • developers and artists who are on many AAA-list game credits (that cannot be named at the moment) works for us.

Developers are happy, they pace themselves instead of 16 hours weeks, they know they get paid for their time. Quality is increasing towards AAA here. The newer artwork look fabulous.

First you login. Much of the GUI work is done. This is the Mac skin

This checks for Unity license on the machine. It reads the Unity license directly. On a valid license:

On an invalid license, it gives the XML node points where data is expected, but missing:
