[WIP] Inspector Navigator - Inspector Back Button!

We are nearly finished with a small tool called Inspector Navigator.

Its a compact and tidy tool that sits on top of the Unity inspector window and allows you to navigate BACK and FORWARD to recently edited game objects. It also shows a BREADCRUMB BAR you can click to jump directly to any object.

It allows to navigate between object inspectors easily, like you would in a web browser. Edit one object, click on a link to go to another, adjust a property, go back to the previous inspector … done!

It also SERIALIZES the inspector history, so after restarting Unity you can go back to editing any previous object in no time at all.

We were frustrated with having to dig through the hierarchy windows to find the same objects again, and again … and again, and again - and again! … and none of the current asset store plugins solved this the way we wanted, so we decided to write our own plugin

Hi folks,

Cool idea!, what’s your estimated release date?

Cheers.

Great, thank you!

We really hope to have everything ready tomorrow, December 5th.

You never know how much work goes into getting ready for releasing a “simple” plugin until you try it yourself!

This will be so usefull

Thank you mathias234, we just made the plugin we needed ourselves

We just submitted the package to the asset store and it is now Pending Review!

According to Unity it can take up to a week. Our first plugin, how exciting! yay!

What will the price be?

Its a simple tool, so we knew it was going to be cheap. After the early poll results we decided to put it for sale for $5 to start.

We will keep in mind all user feedback, including late poll replies, and update the tool or price accordingly.

We are finally live on the asset store! http://u3d.as/awA

It took 7 days pending review, which sounds about average if these forums are to be trusted

Big respect for this tool, with all the updates, the new support for web projects being able to check - passively - for updates, The effort to support 5 (when it drops), all in this is a great product, I would buy it again.

nice one.

Thanks twobob!, please use this thread now for all things related to Inspector Navigator, thanks!
