WIP models and stuff

Hi,I thought that a work in progress thread for my models would be nice to get some feedback on the models and such.

This is a baseball bat I’m currently working on. The texture is still wip but I think the model is ok ?

edit: you maybe have to open the image in a new tab to view it.

Oh, sorry! realize that I put this in the wrong section and got a bad name for the thread… (how do I change the name ?)

Yeah, I know about that thread, but I just wanted to show some of my models I’m working on. And it’s really hard to get good feedback in such a big thread already. Should have moved it the showcase and change the name to my models wip or something.

If he has multiple things he wants to show over a coarse of time, it may be better for him to start his own thread like he has.

PS: Although it should be in the showcase section.

Don’t take this the wrong way cause that’s a cool looking bat, but it does remind me of the time this one user wanted everyone to look at his cool model of a cube lol.

What’s cool is to showcase a pack of models/portfolio and not just a basic model.

I know, this isn’t much… But I got more stuff coming. And it wasn’t meaning to show it of and say “hey look what I made”

I was thinking of getting tips on ways to improve the model and texture work. I should also post a image of the UW and texture to…

But yeah, I know it’s not much to show right now, just want to improve my modeling skill and get tips etc…

Thanks

EDIT: to begin with, do you think the segments on the sides of the bat is ok. Could I remove or should I add some more polygons… ? I want it to be low poly as possible

The line segments look good to me. (perfect in fact)

I couldn’t open the pic to see the details.

I like to have separate groups for most of my models parts so that i can use different shaders on their parts. That way you can go chrome if you want without having chrome on your grip.

Ok, thanks. So I could have two material id’s or do I have to have two separate objects to get different shaders ?
