Hi there!
This has been what’s keeping me occupied over the last two weeks. I had been toying around with this idea for a while. It’s the start of a pack of customizable mountains for game environments. I plan to make a pack of mountains from various regions (Norway was used as a reference for the one below) for the Asset Store.
The snow and vegetation can be adjusted by:
- Coverage amount
- Show/Hide
- Height
- Falloff
- Tiling
- Relief intensity
- Roughness
- Roughness contrast
User diffuse and normal maps are supported as input.
Anyone suggestions on which options could be added or improved?

Hey folks!
I’ve had this project on the backburner for a while, but recently decided to work on it again.
Currently at 15 mountain variations, inspired by the Norwegian, Alpine and Rocky mountain ranges. Because I put together an automated texturing pipeline adding more mountain types is easily done at this point.
I’ll also be offering the ability to use a shader instead of a Substance material. Trading in some of the customization options for higher texture resolution (on the right).
I’m going to create some better default textures after which I plan to release my first version for $19. I welcome any feedback or suggestions!

Editor extension is pretty much finished. I hope to record an overview video next week.
jaw-drop Dude, this is some fantastic work. I’m looking forward to hearing more. Personally, I just bought Gaia, and I’d be interested to see how this would integrate with it (if at all).
