What’s untitled tile game?
U.T.G is a game I had initially started as a small project and hadn’t planned to make a release of. The aim of the game is that you start with a tiny little village of people and from that village you must grow and expand, becoming self dependent in order to keep your little civilization alive.
What do you do?
The game is tile based, a bit like Civ V except everything is a bit more instant. Each tile can do different things, farm tiles grow food for your civilization, mines get you ores and stone, etc.
Do you leave the tiles after obtaining them?
No. Currently you need to collect the resources from your tiles, and in the future tiles will become upgrade able to make them more rewarding (Farm tiles for example will be upgraded to grow more than wheat.)
How do you get tiles?
Currently with gold. Each tile has a set price, in the future however the plan is that you will need resources alongside a certain amount of gold.
How do you get the gold then?
Selling resources! Who to? Who knows. I didn’t want to go with the regular ‘Oh you have a gold mine’ method or the ‘Money coming from nowhere’ method, I wanted you to actually have to earn the money and figure out the best ways to earn money. I also didn’t want some resources getting a bit too abundant, so a good old money incentive to get you to rid of more expensive resources felt like a good idea.
