We are aiming for a release on Steam first (around April hopefully) and on mobile devices after that.
The game is developed with Unity and the 2D Toolkit plugin. All animations are hand drawn in flash
and then imported as sprites in Unity.
Wow - I thought I commented on this thread a long time ago. I guess I just trolled and admired the top shelf art.
Great job guys. Really beautiful work.
The one thing I noticed is it seems to be a pretty tight arena where the action takes place. Right?
And the other thing I noticed is the guy pretty much runs around shooting up the entire time.
Please correct any misconceptions I have.
It’s a little disappointing when I could really see this as a great 2D sci-fi action successor to the original (best) two metroid games. But maybe you can build upon what this game sets up.
To end on a positive note - I like your use of funny in everything. Even the evil aliens are comical looking. Just great.
Funny=money.
@theANMATOR2b thanks for your suggestion. We hear you.
The main reason why we can only shoot vertical is that we wanted to try and stay somewhat true to the original arcade game “Pang!” where we got our core mechanics from.
@RavenOfCode We need to finish the steam version first which is still about 2 month off. According to it’s sales we have to make descisions first which platfrom makes sense next.
