[WIP] "The Legendary Chest" of Junk & Loot

Current Development Stage: Super Fetal Pre-Alpha - Meaning I am currently developing all the art assets I can for the game until other elements can start to come together, either through my own effort or from help from others.

Official Website: www.landoflulz.com
Title: “The Legendary Chest” of Junk & Loot
Platform: PC, Mac, Linux, Android
Release Date: No planned Yet

Some current planning: Idea Mapping of Currently Planned Features - last updated 8.20.15
New Content Task List: Click Here - last updated 9.24.15

Development (Estimated) Monthly Budget: +4.00 USD
Budget Source: Sales of items in Second Life (+1.00 USD Last week )
Current Budget Savings: +1.62 USD ( First Month )
Why fund development this way: I refuse to promise what I haven’t already delivered. I don’t want people to give me money via crowd fund raising based on promises. I also don’t want to charge people for an incomplete game on steam early access.

I will earn my own money, pay my own way, feels like the right way to do it.

Concept: A Fun & Free casual game about looting and collecting items for fun. Players are allowed to loot as many junk chests as they like for a chance at fun items or gold. However once a day they are able to loot a higher level chest with a chance of greater reward.

Features:

  • Chests: Junk, common, uncommon, rare ( awaiting final names ). Each chest has different loot tables, loot value multipliers, etc to help randomize each looting experience.
  • Character: Can equip items, be viewed in 3D, works as profile image.
  • Display: Allows players to display favorite items. Can be expanded.
  • Store: Allows players to sell items, time to sell dependent on dice roll + rarity.
  • Basement: Mass storage of junk and other items ( like stack able inventory ) to hold for exchanging later for other purposes.
  • The Market: Allows players to trade items with friends.

Revenue: Some plans to allow players to pay for a few things to support development. Will be things purchasable that will not shorten content consumption experience. Game is also not competitive so no pay to win.

Don’t give up on your game! Keep this thread updated and i am sure you’ll get more attention soon.
I wish you all the best for your future!

By the way, what are the target platforms ?

Thank you for the encouragement. Right now PC/Mac/Linux

Because of the nature of the game it would likely be great on phone to, I just worry about game size when you start talking about thousands of random voxel items.

All the best with your game - I know all too well how hard it is to fit dev around the rest of life! Keep going back to your ‘developers expectations’ and remind yourself that you will finish this game (even though it may sometimes seem like one very small step at a time, they are still steps!)
As for the game, some really nice assets and a good concept - will keep an eye on this thread for future development

@czampese -Thank you czampese, much appreciated.

All updates now have links to images of their assets.

I am sure you guys get tired of looking at screenshots and 2D images. Here are some 3D Previews! ^^
