[WIP] Virtual School

Hi,

I am recreating my school in Unity. It is a project for a competition in my country. I started working in Unity somewhat around 2 weeks ago. This was my first time creating something. As a beginner it was not so easy to learn Unity. I started simple with a few foundations. Trought the two weeks there were some major changes. You could clearly see the progress.I could use any tips and tricks to help me in my further development. And also I would very much appreciate all opinions and suggestions to really make what I had imagined. Thank you.

My tip would be to plan first then do stuff, what do you want in your game, make a list and prioritise all points. What did you have in mind, simulation or arcade style game? 2d or 3d? can you give any more details on your vision or current status? Interactive or just story based? What specifically do you feel you want help with? eg graphics or programming?

It is going to be 3D and a simulation but it would be nice if the character could interact with the “school” environment. I have many ideas of what it can be but first i wanna polish everything. I want to completely finish the school, classrooms… etc. and then I want to slowly add some game like features. But I just do not know how or what features to add. Thank you for your response!

It can potentially be a huge project, how far do you want to take it
I have worked (solo) on projects for 2 years and it was not finished in my book, then people still had negative views on it… so be prepared for critique also. Also another hurdle might be if you can stay for the duration and see the whole project through, it’s like completing a marathon.

I can give you many suggestions for features to your game, I was about to but then thought to myself why should I do so, what is in it for me? I could just make my own game with my ideas/features, sorry to sound a bit harsh, but hope you understand what I “try” to explain here, you could come up with your own ideas really as then you can definitely call them your own and be proud of that. PM me if you are interested to hear them anyway.
Maybe I misunderstood you somehow, if I did my apologies.

No. Thank you very much!
