Wizard Arena

Apple has just approved my new game, “Wizard Arena” available on the iPhone / iPod touch.

Welcome to the arena!

Show your skill as a master wizard as you battle through hordes of enemies in this gladiator-style adventure. Choose between four different wizards, each with their own unique skills and magical alignment. Gain experience points by defeating enemies, then use those points to learn more spells.

Wizard Arena uses a unique gesture recognition system that allows you to draw spells with your finger, letting you create magic like a sorcerer! Once spells are cast, you can use them over and over again to pummel your foe. As you attain higher levels, you’ll be able to store more spells, giving you an edge against your enemies.

Master the four elements: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. Each element has its strengths and weaknesses against different types of monsters. Each wizard and enemy is stronger in one particular element and weak against another, balancing the combat and giving you a tactical choice in firepower and defense.

Burn your enemies to a cinder with flame. Electrify them with a powerful thunderstorm. Rain fiery meteors down on their head. Summon a tornado to send them flying. Shake the earth with a powerful earthquake. Trick them by conjuring a decoy of yourself. And there are 22 more spells!

I like the concept. I’ve always liked games that do a little more with magic, other than push button cast spell. I wish I had an iphone to really give this game a proper review. Good luck, it seems quite original. I hope it does well for you.

Thanks! Ever since the game Black White, I’ve wanted to create a game that lets you draw spells. It feels more like magic when you get to create it :wink:

I just released my first update with some additions and fixes:

-I moved the meters to the top of the screen
-created a “Gate Ward” that prevents enemies from getting into the wizard’s chamber (and consequently trapping you without your spells)

I haven’t updated the video with these changes yet, but that is on the horizon.
