WOK: Wolf Online Kingdom

This world sucks, go WOK!

WOK is a persistant multiplayer game, a social networking platform and a dungeon crawler at the same time. The concept is pretty unique and based on a community of players.
The action take place in the future on an Island after a total destruction of the world. You wake up from Cryo after a malfunction to find out that people have returned to the middle age, Mutants are all other the place, there are still robots and energy but people have lost the history of what did happen, they are just in survival mode.
This world gives you the freedom you don’t have in the real world, you can harvest pot and sell space cake, you can pay Lili for a lap dance, you can buy a beer to other players, you can try to find out what did happen to this world by talking to the NPC, going to missions and fighting mutants, it is up to you. Or you can retire from the real world, have a small shop and spend your time at the bar.

I will share with you my experience when looking for the best Asset Store plugins and evaluating them in a real production (including modifications of these assets for the project specific use).

I will share with you the video of the making, several videos / months the problems I have, how do we make the music, the sounds, the playable demos - or fly by demos.

And you will have a chance to be a founder, an unique type of player that will have God like powers, just because you followed us from the beginning.

It is not my first game, I am not working alone but with some old friends game veteran who have done some iconic 16 bits games in the past, but that’s not the most important, trust me, it will be fun.

Most of all, it will be an unique place, where all the environment, the sounds and music are procedural and designed to make you feel great, a total opposite to the war, trance inducing games produced by the major companies. This game will be as good as a Thai massage!

How far along into development are you already?

I have started 1 month ago. I think that I will have a playable demo in September. But I will publish for the members fly by demos that are awesome. The procedural world have so many place you would like to build a house for real :wink:
The Fly by demos will be released every month, they will be used to get a feedback on the speed on different configs PC/MAC.

Hey guys, stage 1 : The environment, is completed and I am now working on the first playable demo (flyable I would say).
The demo will be also used for benchmark, I will collect the GPU, CPU, OS, and average FPS. I hope that it will not be a problem since these are not ‘personal’ but I want to be sure that I have something that is quick enough and not crashing on any configuration at this stage, or otherwise I will take decisions to speed up the game.
