Working Offline with 2017.1.0f3

Is anyone else having issues launching Unity version 2017.1.0f3 without internet connection? I downloaded and installed it last night. Now I’m without internet for the day and cannot work offline. I click the desktop icon and a window opens. The window is either greyed out with no option but to quit the application or it opens to a screen that says “No Network Connection” “Not to worry, you can work offline!” And a button below that says “Work Offline.” Clicking the button leads to a blank window with no option but to quit the application.

I have tried the following with no solution:

  1. Disable wifi on my laptop
  2. Remove the licence file from programdata
  3. Manual licence activation

With option 3, after successfully activating my licence the window says “Thank You” and below is a button that says “Start Using Unity.” Clicking that button accomplishes NOTHING.

Is there a fix for this coming? Is there a workaround?

I’m downloading 5.6.3 tonight because this is not cool.

Currently I have exactly the same problems. Last time (like week ago) I’ve been able to remove Programdata/Unity folder and then do Manual activation workflow, but now after loading license file literally NOTHING happens, just green bar at top “licence file loaded” and nothing more.
