Working with PlasticSCM is a real nightmare!

Can’t say it in any other way but plastic drastically increased our dev times, while with collaborate everything just worked like a charm.

There is this dum bug or whatever that do not sync when I assign something to a component, so we end up spending time checking if things are in sync.
Example.

I create a script, assign it to an object, assign a transform to my component, checkin the changes and my collaborator can see that the script has been assigned to the object but the trasform has not been assigned so I need to check in the scene again and again.

Is possible to have collaborate back? or to update plastic?

Hi @Mars91 , I’m sorry that you’re having issues with syncing changes with your teammate. When you are checking in your changes, what is included in your checkin from the Pending Changes tab of the Plastic SCM window? Are these changes made to a prefab or to a regular game object in a scene? Are you saving the latest changes to your scene and project before you checkin your latest changes?

Things to check in includes scenes, code, materials, prefabs, whatever you can think of, no matter what I need to check in the error popup. Yes everything is saved before I try to push the changes.

Hi,
Are you getting any specific errors? Or just your coworker is not properly receiving the changes you submitted when updating their workspace?

Regards,
Carlos.

No error no nothing. The “cool” thing is that object placement or other changes are synced but changes made to component are not synced (like 30% of the time)

Can you reach us at support@plasticscm.com? We may need to arrange a meeting to debug your setup.

SURE! Thank you so much!
