working with time in unity3d, and the possible dangers doing so

I’m setting up a game which is score based, very similar to a side scrolling shooter.

What I want to do is use time, so when xx seconds is met, xxxx is instantiated.

However, what are the dangers of programming with time? I thik I read soemwhere time within Unity is a little off in places? Could be wrong of course, hence why I ask.

There aren’t any dangers. It’s hard to guarantee synchronization between timers on very small scales, which makes Unity somewhat problematic for things like rhythm games that rely on very precise timing, but that’s the only potential issue.
