wierd :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes. The developers of that game created their own engine called Unity 3D. Unity Technologies (the company which runs this forum) creates an engine called Unity.

Sorry, i should have posted a bit more like, i found it interesting, is their unity our unity etc…

Yes wwii online is using this unity engine. They implemented it to add in a whole bunch of things like rag doll into there latest release.

nice  wait, ragdolls? i thought it was an MMORTS?

They use their own Unity 3D engine. That’s not the same as the Unity engine, it’s quite different. For one thing they use ODE for physics. They were around years before Unity; I recall reading a little while ago that Unity Technologies licensed the name or something legal like that, since Playnet has a registered trademark on the name “Unity 3D”. (Note that “our” Unity is just Unity, not Unity3D.)

This kind of confusion was what I had hoped to avoid by posting first. Two different engines, similar names.

I stand corrected, http://www.battlegroundeurope.com/index.php/component/content/article/3012-playnet-announces-unity-3d-upgrade
