if i have a 30 day trial and it ends and then an update like unity 5 comes would i get another 30 day trial for that update

Unity 5 will not be considered an upgrade.

Buying a Pro licence for 4 will not upgrade you to 5 on its release. A new licence will be required.

Given this information, yes a fresh 30 day trial will be available.
