These are all WIP, I’ve been doing 3d for a few years now and I’m trying to put together a game.
The first model is a bit high poly, she doesn’t have eyes or hair yet I’m still trying to figure out a work
The other is low poly chibi model I made, I’m not sure how to go about making the eyes since I’m not very good at drawing. I’m scared of messing up the topology if I were to I guess carve in the eyes.
I think I remember one of the mods saying if a post received replies they couldn’t delete it but I think they can still move the post to the correct sub-forum even with replies, as long as it was reported. I’ll report and see if it gets moved to the more oriented general graphic forum.
I don’t see any issues with your model. However, wouldn’t criticism also depend on intentions?
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, do something out of your comfort zone to make those eyes the way you want. If it doesn’t work, revert to a previous copy and start over again.
I am curious how you character will further develop.
For art specific advice/criticism, I would check out polycount forums.
But remember, when considering criticism, place no head above your own and don’t take anything personal. Some people genuinely want to help, others just want to make themselves feel better. Some people may share really good advice, but it may not be pertinent for your situation.
So take what is useful, and use it. Discard the rest, or at least try to recognize that it may not be useful right now but could be useful later. Personally, I don’t know anything about what a chibi is or cartoon styles in general, so I don’t have anything useful to say about that.
Okay: Concerning the first chibi model, the one with no clothes…
I noticed that the arms seem a bit too short, when compared to
the torso and legs. Make them a bit longer.
The second chibi model, wearing the school uniform, looks good.
But the arms, need to be a tiny, tiny bit longer.
Overall, nice work.
Wow! You use blender too? Cool!
And I must say, that the theme colours, of you blender workscreen
looks really cool.
