Without the user’s mouse being visible, it’s hard to see a lot of what’s going on in the game window.
Hi!
I don’t understand your request and what the problem is. If you record the game in full screen, why do you want your cursor visible?
Thanks
Probably because he clicks on buttons.
I don’t think it’s a strange request to want to option to have the cursor visible
When I use the Recorder, my game view is always docked as it is by default in the Editor, and I can move my mouse around. When does the cursor disappear for you?
In the recording I mean. The cursor is indeed visible while recording, but not in the recorded video file itself.
But, thinking about, I understand that’s not as straightforward as I initially thought, so I get why it’s not an option.
Anyway, I don’t actually need it, so I’ll let the original poster chime in, I didn’t mean to hijack this tread
OK I get it, @tonycoculuzzi can you please confirm that is what you meant? “I want the cursor to appear in the rendered file”
Yep, this is exactly what I meant! Apologies if I wasn’t clear. Thank you for asking me to clarify ![]()
Like Steven-1 said, it’s because I’d like it to be visible in the recorded video when interacting with mouse-based controls like buttons, or anything with hover states. This would help greatly in using Recorder for internal uses like QA where the full interaction flow needs to be visible.
