WoW networking and security analysis

I came across this on the world wide webernet - it makes for a good read and gives some insight into what’s involved.

Skimmed it. Kind of “meh.” Having written a headerless WoW client and hacked through the Blizzard WoW client along with many other programmers who are far better at it than me, it’s always interesting to see someone’s take on it but I found the “security analysis” from this guy to be really light on details. There were a couple of errors in the article, and some information that is now vastly out of date, e.g. Warden and scanning memory. You want the skinny on WoW catch up on gamedeception and or the memory editing section of ownedcore.
