wrong pivot on object

I imported object and in max2012 the pivot is set ok but in unity its wrong position
so I tried to by-pass it by creating a cylinder and setting the objet as a child but then the pivot of the cylinder moved to the objects wrong pivot’s position?
tring to reset the position of the pivot doesnt help when importing the object to unity
any suggestion? can I corresct the pivot position in unity edditor?

you can close this question the problem was that the editor used center point and not the pivot point by pressing the button all was correct.
