On the browser Internet Explorer, WWW.error always return null (when the url doesn’t exist !!). And when I read the content of WWW.text, I’ve got this :

Note : With Chrome and Firefox, this problem doesn’t occur.
two tests you can do here. First, can you get to the page “/test/sample.xml”, just by internet explorer?
Second, try putting the full URL in there and not just the “est/sample.xml”
