I found that project on Kickstarter http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/wynlabs/wyncase-turn-the-iphone-into-a-true-mobile-gaming some time ago and was pretty surprised when I checked it today that it has so little funding. I don’t play games very often on mobiles, but something like that would change it.
This post is not meant to advertise the project cause it is very unlikely that it will be funded. I am just curious to hear the opinion of others about this idea.

I think that WynCase is kind of bulky… This is a nice solution and it made twice it’s funding required:

I think the only time I’m going to game on my phone is when I don’t have access to my computer (which is usually in the subway/train/plane)… but I usually bring my laptop (or tablet) on those kind of trips…
I dont like how the wyncase covers up the corners of the screen. Its a hackey work around.
To be honest, I think it’s elegant. It’s covering up far less screen real estate than one single finger would, and it means that it’s adding no electronics or software to increase complexity.
That’s also what I though. It is minimalistic and clean. The only real disadvantage is that the game needs to explicitly address the design. But that would also be doable from my point of view.
I really like this case, Im surprised it hasn’t been funded. Id like to get a look at it in person tho, to see what the quality of the material is like and such. Im a bit of a quality whore.
