Forgive me if this has been answered before, I was unable to find anything on the topic.
Is there any reason that 360 degrees worth of rotation on the X axis of an object is recorded not between 0-360 but from 270-450 and then back down again? To elaborate, when I rotate an object on the X axis in one direction, the rotation value doesn’t behave predictably, it climbs 180 degrees then starts to decrease again for 180 degrees, then bounces back up again.
The odd thing is that when I rotate an object on the other 2 axes, the rotation is recorded more predictably, i.e when I rotate one way, the angle climbs in one direction and when i rotate the other way it decreases predictably.
Would really appreciate any help on this, I feel like I’ve stepped on something I shouldn’t have and didn’t notice!
Thanks in advance.
