xaitment ai tools with unity

can these tools be used with unity via c# or java script? it’s ai middleware seems very cool if it can be used. also how would one add these third party tools to run with their projects?

I don’t know if anyone has attempted it but it may be possible to access the tools from Unity using a plugin. Their website claims they have a .NET wrapper available on request but it would not be wise to assume it works with Unity without testing.

i see i dont know of any good ai middleware for use with unity if you know of any that have been tested please let me know i’m getting into c# scripting at the moment. i know most c++ have to be compiled to a dll and called in unity via code, but as i’m in the beginning stages i dont really have the adequate knowledge on how to even call a dll to work with a ai character.

You should probably work out why and if you need this first, especially if you’re new to programming. There are at least two native (and free) navmesh implementations for Unity, and this takes care of a large percentage of most AI headaches for you. A basic state machine is easy, and again there are free implementations of this around if you need them.

In fact, you should probably create your game first and then worry about this type of thing.

It’s hard to tell what state they’re in. No press activity for a couple of years…

There is no activity on their FB or twitter, so by today’s standard they seem pretty much dead :frowning:
