Hello,
I need to take the current language set on the Xbox console settings and then set that to my game when launched. Is there an API call (C#) on the Xbox One API to do it? How can I access that information?
Thanks

[Unity - Scripting API: Application.systemLanguage](https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Application-systemLanguage.html) worked ok for me on the XBox

Thanks for the answer, unfortunately that only works in the editor for me… could it be that the console is in developer mode? Did you try like that?

That’s odd, I’ve definitely used that on XBox titles that have been gone through Microsoft QA and been released so it seems to work ok for me.

I just found this on a topic:
“make sure the language is listed in your AppxManifest.xml. I think Unity ignores telling you about xbox system languages if you don’t have entries for them in the AppxManifest.”

So maybe it is not working because I didn’t do this… Did you know about that?

Ah, ok - that makes sense. I set up the languages in Build Settings(Select Xbox One as your target)-\>Player Settings. Go to ‘Publishing Settings’ in the inspector window and then select the languages in ‘Supported Languages’.
