It looks like canadians wont get screwed again this time – we will pay the same price as americans for once but looks like the UK is screwed big time at £429 668.924 USD and £349 (544.183 USD)
Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One will launch one week after its chief rival and cost $100 more as the software giant officially confirmed the date it plans to enter the next generation console wars on Wednesday.
In a blog post written by Yusuf Mehdi, the vice president of marketing, strategy and business for Xbox, Microsoft revealed that the Xbox One will go on sale in 13 countries — including Canada and the United States — on Nov. 22.
Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 4, which is set to be the biggest challenger to the Xbox One as gamers make purchasing decisions ahead of the holiday season, is set to launch on Nov. 15.
Sony has announced the PlayStation 4 will cost $399 in the United States and Canada while Microsoft has maintained that the Xbox One will cost $499 in those markets.
According to the blog post, Microsoft is now in “full production” of the Xbox One console and that the company was opening up a limited new batch of pre-orders, having already sold out its initial allotment of pre-ordered consoles.
In addition to the United States and Canada, Microsoft also plans to launch the Xbox One in Australia, Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain and the United Kingdom on Nov. 22, with other markets to follow in 2014.
Microsoft also revealed a few technical specifications related to the performance of the new console. According to the posting, Microsoft has improved the CPU performance of the Xbox One by 10% from 1.6GHZ to 1.75GHZ. The company previously announced it had improve the performance of the GPU by 6% from the initial specifications.

hmm. Once these consoles are released it might be a good time to buy a new computer. The games are likely to be nerfed to console standards for a few years again.

$100 more and 1 week later… that’s ONE big Ouch for XBox.

Pro-tip: Wait for 1 or 2 years afterwards, and then buy it. You’ll be ahead of the game, for cheaper.
Or 1 week earlier, if you’re in Europe.
I honestly don’t think the 1 week is going to matter at all, though.

Eh…the price-difference from 100€/$ is known for months.
I will be able to develop for both, so I will have to get both!
No the xbox comes out first and is $100 more expensive. There is no reason to get it early for developing because they wont open it to the general public for a good while I would probably just wait for a price drop.
