XCode for OSX 10.6.x, am i out?

Hi everyone,

After downloaded Unity 4.2 i was really exited about being able to make my first iOS test on my iPhone.
Unfortunately, my OSX version is only 10.6.x and i can’t find any XCode version that is available with my OSX version.

Do i have a chance or do i absolutely need to update to the latest version of OSX ?

If i find an XCode version that work on OSX 10.6, will i be able to make it work with Unity 4.2 ?
Thanks a lot for any help.

Best regards.

Xcode 3.2.6 is the last version that can be downloaded for free for users of Mac OS X v10.6.

Not by itself, but you can also download a newer version and copy some SDK stuff into the older version, which is what I’ve done. (I can’t remember the details offhand, so you’ll have to do a search.)

Thank you very much for your answers.
This help very much.
Thanks again!

Just go ahead and download the newest OS. A couple weeks ago Apple announced they will no longer charge for OS upgrades. It’s free.

Not everyone can do that, depending on how old their hardware is.
