XYZ gadget fail on upgrade to unity 4

when i up graded to unity 4 my XYZ gadget does not allow me to click onto 3D 45 degree angle when clicking on the BOX in the middle like it did natuarly with unity 3

some one please help to fix problem.

The “Scene Gizmo” behaviour was changed in Unity 4 I’m afraid…:-/

From the release notes (although they don’t mention the 45° shortcut, they do describe how they’ve re-assigned the cube’s behaviour… dunno why since there’s also an ortho toggle aready there):

“Editor: The Scene Gizmo axis cones no longer sets the camera to be orthographic. The center cube now toggles orthographic. The label below the gizmo now toggles between perspective and ortho as well. Shift-clicking or middle-mouse clicking the center cube will set the “nice” perspective view and shift-clicking or middle-mouse clicking the cones will enforce ortho.”
