YIKS animation problem with 3rd person character

hi there, i am trying to set this model and it’s animations as a 3rd person character in my game using unity 3.1

it’s a game ready model with animations from dexsoft, so it should work well in unity… only the animations for it lag every half of a second or so in unity… very slow performance.

is there a way i can speed up it’s animations? animation keyframe reduction and compression didn’t seem to do anything

it’s only about 3k tris. so well within acceptable ranges… it lags even with other animations other than the ones that came with it. what am i doing wrong?

Which platform are you targetting? (Desktop, iPhone, etc…) Are you using several instances of the model or does it slow down even with a single instance?
