"You are not authorized to set the license key" error

I am trying to set the license key and get this error.
Services>in-app purchasing>options> (Then copy the key into the box and click verify)

If i click on the in-app purchasing settings dashboard link in unity I go to the unity gaming services website. (No offense but this site is a complete mess.). After many hours of trying, I did set up 2 accounts each with owner. In unity I created a new project ID and have linked it to the website. I can see the project in the website. I do not see the old projects. However, when I try to paste the google play store key into the box it gives the error. Could someone help me out setting this up?

Please share a screenshot. So you know, that key is optional and is not required, IAP will work just fine without it. We only use it for revenue reporting on our Dashboard, but you can also get those numbers on the store dashboards, in more detail. You will want to enter the key on the dashboard and not in the Editor. There is a known bug that you can’t enter it into the Editor. Your point is taken regarding the dashboard, I will go check to see where the key field has been moved in the updated dashboard. You can still access the v1 dashboard here to enter the key Unity Cloud (that’s your Unity ProjectID, without the brackets) You need to be an Owner or Manager on the project.

Thanks. I enabled ads to ON and it then allowed the key to be entered. I am not sure if this was the issue but I’ll test out on other projects. Also, I did not know that this was not needed so I may just leave it out.

So you know, you don’t want to enable Ads in the Services window, if that was your process. Ads is now in a Package Manager package. Enabling ads should have no relation to IAP, but I’m glad you were able to continue.

Good to know as well. I’ll try this on another project by enabling and disabling the ads and see if that lets me in. I just disabled it on the current project and the key is still there.

Yeah that didn’t work turning the ads on again. Must have been a fluke. I’ll just leave ads off and not enter the key as it’s not needed. thanks.

Had same problem. Enabled ads. Accepted license key immediately.
