"Your computer is low on memory. Save your files and close these programs: Unity Editor"

Ehh, wtf? I recently upgraded to Unity 5.5 with the latest patch and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this error message in Windows.

Anyone else experienced this? Memory leak somewhere?

I have 24gb ram and Unity was using 15gb of it at this time:

I’m just working on my ARPG project. It’s a small project with nothing special in it. I almost never reboot my computer, I only put it in sleep mode. This Unity project is almost always open. That probably matters, but this still shouldn’t happen imo.

Well, maybe you should wonder why Unity Editor takes up more than 15 gB of memory and then wonder why you have multiple Chrome.exe running and then shut down your computer once in a while?

Chrome shows one process per tab. Mystery solved. Thanks for your input. :stuck_out_tongue:

You shouldn’t have to reboot your computer unless something is wrong. I didn’t have to reboot my computer this time either, I just had to restart Unity to free the memory. It hasn’t gone above 800mb since and I’ll keep an eye on it.
