Is there any way to embed youtube vids on the forums? Like the bb code?
There isn’t a YouTube tag - we believe in the elegant simplicity of the static image 
I demand the ability to use a YouTube vid as my avatar!

I’m not certain what you mean…I have a most beautiful avatar, made, I’ve been told, of the rarest and highest quality pixels available. It’s true that those who are unworthy can’t see it, so I’m sure you must have been looking in the wrong place.

In the options menu whilst posting I can see " BB code is on" - and from what I’ve seen scouring google, this can be implemented.
I’d rather see :
- “Search Title Only”
- and “Find Threads started by User”

Reviving this just to offer an answer: is there a reason for no YouTube embedding? Yes, it takes time and energy better spent (for now) elsewhere. We’re interviewing a bunch of web dev types so we can hire folks on to tackle tasks like forum improvements, website improvements, blah blah blah. Part of the task list there is forum work and there are bigger fish to fry that the embedding of YouTube videos. Will it ever be possible? Sure, that might happen. Is it on the short to-do list? Nah, not right now.
