z axis out of sync

ok so I created a unit in cheetah 3d and I imported it into unity, but the z axis isnt facing straight through his face, so when you tell it to look at a point, it looks slightly to the side of it, how would I correct this?

Take it back into you application and adjust the pivot. If it is truly moving out of place that is wierd, but you may be able to use Blender to set the pivot point and its rotation to what you need if your 3D app continues to generate an offset pivot.
