Z Buffering and CombineChildren

I am using the CombineChildren script to combine a bunch of tree billboards. The problem is, often the trees in the back get drawn in front of the nearer trees.

Is there anything I can do to make these guys sort correctly?

What shader are you using for the trees? Try using one of the Transparent/Cutout variety and see if that fixes the problem.
