Zen of Clover for iPhone

I have Zen of Clover on the App Store.
PM me if you would like a promo code (I have 10 to give away here).

Thanks.

It’s cool to see something other than a traditional game! Good work.

A few things I noticed:

  1. I hear a growling in the background every once in a while that sounds like an animal. I’m not sure if that is what is intended, however, I find it a distraction.
  2. I hear a few pops in the audio. Do you know why?
  3. It’d be great to have additional audio tracks. The track that plays right now is good, however, I’d love to hear something more along the lines of the House of Flying Daggers soundtrack or something with pipe/pan flutes like this, but slower:

What I like:

  1. The crickets and ambient sounds are great.
  2. Controls are spot on!
  3. Difficulty to find the four-leaf clover.
  4. I assume it is randomized, so that each experience is different.
  5. Performance is decent.

@aebrahimi
Thanks for you feedback. I’ll work on the audio some more.

Got the game (thanks for trying a promo code - only works for US store apparently).

My comments - unsorted and recorded after first game:

  • ambient sounds are spot on, and nice and relaxing fade in/out of the music
  • more music tracks would be great
  • its somewhat addicting and relaxing. So mission accomplished
  • long loading time first time around - seemed better second time
  • would maybe bore me a bit too much without some distactions here and there once in a while. Could be a water drip rippling on the pond, a duck swimming around, some koi fish underneath swimming, a frog, flowers - something other than “only” clover

Some things to fix in my oppinion:

  • audio pops a lot - disturbs the zen state
  • once I found the 4-leaf clover first time I didnt know what to do about it. Very frustrating. It was not obvious to me that I had to press and hold for it to be picked up
  • clover can float out of the pool and onto the stone. Ruins some of the simulation
  • for the panning - I would try to lock it down so you either pan or zoom when you have 2 fingers on the screen. Its not very pleasant to move around and having the image zoom in/out slightly with every move

Hope you can use the feedback and my $2

@Thomas

Thank you for your feedback!
I just submitted an update (version 1.5) that:

  • Removes the audio pop.
  • Speeds up the time you have to hold down a four leaf clover before it is “picked”.
  • I added a Buddha statue
  • changed the backgroud sounds, sound better now (i think).
  • slightly offset the clover when you are touching it, so that you can see it easier (it isn’t hiden by your finger as much).

THINGS I HAVE NOT FIXED/ADDED:

  • Clovers can still be moved outside the circle.
  • Panning and Zooming can still happen at the same time… Honestly I’m not sure how to deal with this one, because both are done with a two finger touch.
  • Still only a single background audio track. I am considering adding more along with more enviroments (levels)… like rainy woods, sunny garden, etc.
  • The game still takes about 15 seconds to start… I don’t see anyway around this. This is just inherient with Unity.

Any other suggestions would be great.
Thanks!
