So I release the first installment of my game Zombie Survivor on Androd and I’m currently nearly complete adding some more levels to it.
Im looking for advise on ways to make the game more enjoyable and engaging for everyone. All advice/ critisms are welcome.
No android device so I watched the video. All feedback based on video only.
I kind of like the flat coloring, but would expect at least a little ‘darkness’ to the theme.
Some pickups could be nice.
The disappearing dead zombies were pretty distracting. Maybe consider a different way to dispose of them other than just disappearing.
The pickups could be more powerful weapons which are used against the added more powerful enemies.
A different animation set for different enemies would be cool. The faster zombies maybe walk with hands out with heads back, while the slower zombies shamble with arms at there sides, heads down. A limping zombie would be interesting. And a zombie that throws there arm that fell off would add a missile attack to the mix.
The movement of the legs when swinging looks too much like the walk cycle so it really looks like he is trying to walk when swinging. If you change up the animation to be a more deliberate step to swing it may make it look better.
Adding a different type of death could be good too. They all fall forward the exact same.
