nice job, probably one of the best games displayed here

Thank you, It means a lot to have the community appreciate our efforts.

I thought I would go through the process of how we developed our buildings for “Zombie Wars”.

I have studied 3D architecture while playing numerous games and have paid close attention to its detail. Image search engines can help in this process.

SketchUp was used as a quick way of putting the buildings together and seeing how they look in the city setting. Making sure that they each have a unique look in terms of basic shapes while placing module elements to give the city some consistency.

We then worked on each piece in a modeling program and started to add details. This is a render of our Police Station along with its texture. In the beginning, we used a lot of textures for walls and roof tops, but I started to like the simplistic look of not using detailed textures and felt it gave the game its own unique look.

Upon “Zombie Wars” release, we will be offering a few free models on the Asset Store so the community can study and use them.

Cheers

This is looking really nice! I also signed up for beta testing. Quick question: how soon are you planning to start iOS beta?

We plan on starting the iOS beta testing at the end of this month. The Android testing will start a week before that around the 24th of this month.

Thanks you for signing up for our beta testing. We really appreciate your support.

It is like rebuild 1/2? I always liked those (idea&design), but found them a bit too easy/simple. This seems like a fun game!

We have created this game to be more of a strategic survival game as you send your teams out on missions to search for valuables, rescue others, and attack zombies, rival gangs, and corporate soldiers. This takes your teams through the city and sewers while at the same time requiring you to protect your territory as opposing teams are constantly on the attack. As the story unfolds, it starts to reveal opposing fractions and plot twist.

The city contains numerous unique buildings such as movie theaters, medical supply office, plus over 20 others. Some of these involve missions or unique items for you to search for like a “Porcelain Toilet Tank Lid” which can be used as a weapon.

The survival type genre has elements in it such as searching for items, constantly being in danger, and never gaining a large advantage over the situation. This constantly keeps the player in a mode of fighting each turn for survival. “Rebuild” and “The Last Stand”, both of which are great zombie survival games have done a great job in accomplishing this.
