zooming in the scene view

Hi,

I read many old posts and can’t find an answer to a simple question. We all know that we can use the scrolling wheel to zoom in and out in the scene view. We can also hit F to focus on an object or double click on it.

But how can we zoom in in fine tune mode and not coarse mode? For example you trying to see the skin details on a character face but with the normal scroll wheel mode you can either see the face from too far or
scroll thru the face and then you can’t see the character’s face anymore. We are in July 2020, there must be a way to zoom close to a character face or other object using a fine tune zoom shortcut right?

Hopefully Unity has a way to do this because it seems like there are many post asking how to do this simple thing.

Thanks for your help!

Hold down Alt and right mouse button at the same time, now move the mouse up/down/left/right for fine zoom-in/out.

@dgoyette Thank you for the quick reply and info. This is appreciated! Fastest answer on the Unity forum so far…
It seems to work well but how do you cancel the magnify mode afterward ?

I got it Thanks again!
