Hello there!
Once we made Sea Theme Game Assets. This 2D graphic set with northern ships and islands.
We got a good feedback about this set. So, we decided to make a new set with Tropical Islands for now.
So, we started. Already we painted several islands:
totaly we plan to make:
about 25 tropic islands, few sea creatures, 8 ships (from the simplest boat to rich frigate), and some animation (attack, sailing).
We need your ideas, may be it should be something else here. If you used our previous assets with ships, please share what we missed. It will help us to make useful set.

Looks great although the boats look massive in comparison to size of the islands. Will there be smaller boats or larger islands that match closer to scale?
Right now I see these graphics as intended for a playable map view. Player travels to island and then scene would change to being on the island. Maybe top down action rpg style or side platformer style.

As a a playable map is a good idea too!
I think the relative size of game objects not depends on their sizes in the real life, but on meaning these objects in the game. So, you can change its size according to your plan. We make all these graphics in vector format (and later we will add this additional format (EPS) to the project), so it could be zoom as you want without loss of quality.

well 2016 was a long time ago, but if you still here would be grate to make some objects in water like chests or explosives or destroyed ships or defence towers. Would be cool
