Am i considered an ,,asset flipper"?

Hey, just a quick question. Would you consider me an asset flipper?
I did not submit any game i made (which there actually are a few) yet, because i am still learning and am not quite satisfied with them.

Since i suck at 3D-modeling, texturing, sound recording etc i download most assets i use from the asset store so my games won’t look like total garbage.

I can program so i basically make all the code myself. Some smaller assets too.
My games are still sort of original. I’m currently working on a zombie survival shooter with story elements. Since this is not really original, i’m trying to include as many of new features that i haven’t seen in other games before as i can.

I’m definitely not downloading template projects or copy paste old projects and just switch out textures. Every game i make is unique in it’s own way. I really do not want to be one of those asset flippers. What do you think?

It sounds like you’re on the right track to me.

For me, a bigger issue than using UAS assets are people who release their half assed finished work. Just browse the “Made with Unity” section here in the forum to get an idea what some people release on the Apple/Android Stores. Many submissions look like an one day attempt to create a game.

I believe, if you have a decent game, which is fun to play and has a certain degree of polishing, most people are not going to complain if you use let’s say a sound pack from the UAS.
