Animation Error, Invalid layer index - I have search EVERYWHERE for about 1/2 - 2 hours, for 2 days

So, iv been trying to make a small, tiny little game, as a bet to one of my friends, and im try to add an animation, Iv been debugging it for a while, But I just cant get past this error, Im so lost:
Animator.GotoState: State could not be found
UnityEngine.Animator:play(String)
Meleesystem:Update() (at Assets/Meleesystem.js:12)

And

Invalid Layer Index
