Any REAL experience or feedback on voodoo publishing platform?

Hi!
Recentrly I’ve got this email and want to gather any REAL experience or feedback on voodoo publishing platform before jumping into it - please tell me your story

Welcome aboard the Voodoo Publishing Platform!

Our goal is to help you make a Hit game, a goal that requires you to adopt to a fast-prototyping mindset: testing a lot of core gameplay prototypes.

Prototype, Test, Iterate or Kill, and repeat until you find a hit!

To test the retention and CPI of your game, you can use our platform. It utilizes iOS and Android platforms to gather game data and is more financially rewarding!

Please connect to our platform (Voodoo publishing)

We recommend you follow our Hyper-Casual game guidelines to sharpen your skills. Review the Testing Checklist at the bottom of the dashboard, as well as the step by step instructions. All integration links provided are Unity native.

When you test a prototype on the market, Voodoo will pay for a marketing campaign lasting about 4 days.

You will be notified when we start testing.

You will be able to check all the data on Games Analytics.

We are looking forward to seeing your prototypes in the platform and hopefully a number of hits!

Best,
The Voodoo Publishing Team

Never heard of them, but judging by what can be read about it online, I would steer clear of that platform.

why? what have you read (please share with us)?
looks like they offer free real-world trial of your app

Mainly that the company itself has been criticised in the past for releasing apparent clones of other indie games and other developers, who got approached by Voodoo just like you, had their own negative experience with them.

Voodoo are a very successful company. There have been cases of cloning, although there are also original games, which seems to be the route they have recently been following more. They do have different deals to other hypercasual publishers, but as they are not shared publicly, it is hard to know if the contracts are good or bad. To add to this, they are currently running a promotion for indie developers, but there is no way to see the terms of the submission before entering details. Because of the unknown contracts, and unknown submission terms, Voodoo are one of the few hypercasual publishers I haven’t spoken to (beyond a quick chat to someone at a conference who wouldn’t share any details).

Many other hypercasual publishers are much more open, and will also test your game for free (most will want to check suitability before testing). Examples include (but not limited to) Kwalee, Sunday, Crazy Labs, Coda Platform, Supersonic, Homa Games, BoomBit, and JoyPac.
