I lost connectivity during a commit to my upstream asset server, and now I can’t commit or update from/to any project. The asset server seems to be OK - I can commit and update from my other machine. I’ve removed the .plist files, uninstalled, and reinstalled Unity, but it’s the same problem. I think something with Unity’s clock or timestamping may be screwed up, but no idea how to fix. The system clock is correct. Here’s a screen shot that shows a fresh project with the time stamp from Dec 31, 1969…
Any ideas how to fix? I’m stumped. The only other thing I can think to remove is the license file, and do another reinstall.
Try installing the asset server on your current installation while making sure you do not delete your projects.
It worked for me after a resembling error.
install asset server on my laptop? I have several asset servers available, and I can’t commit or update to any of them, from any project, although I can connect to the asset servers just fine. I may be wrong, but I think something is broken locally, not at the asset server.
I have removed the PACE License folder and reinstalled, and still have the same problem. Very frustrating! Again, it’s the same for any project, for any asset server at different addresses - Unity thinks it’s Dec 31, 1969, and won’t Update or Commit any changes. I’ve submitted a bug report, and a trouble ticket to support, but the only other thing I can think of is to reinstall the whole macbook. Maybe I should take out this hard drive and bury it in the backyard.
*edit - my bad, of course - I overlooked the plist files for each unity project. Once I killed those all was well…
I hate to unearth a long dead thread but I ran into this same problem. Thanks to the op mentioning it was related to a problem with license files on the local machine, I was able to fix my license by updating my license. Help->Manage License…–> Check for Update. I hope this helps someone else who ends up losing connection while doing a commit, which appears to break something between your license and the Asset Server
